One Foot in Eden

A Celtic View of the Stages of Life

by J Philip Newell

One foot in Eden is a prayerful reflection on the stages of human life seen through a Celtic prism.  In seven brief chapters, we are invited to consider the invitation of birth, the innocence of childhood, the commitment of life's middle years, the wisdom of old age and death as a return to the source of life.  In every phase of the journey, we can affirm the goodness of life and the sense of awe that humans can discover in the act of living.
